My current place is a bit of a hot mess, almost to the point of being literal. If a space heater is plugged into the wrong outlet, it could set the house on fire. The living room still shows the burn marks from it. Despite all the issues with our rental home, there’s one thing I really like about it – the location. Surrounded by forest and open sky, I love getting back after a long, rainy and stressful day to a clear, cloudless night with nothing but the stars shining above and the fresh smell of the forest welcoming me at the doorstep. It’s like a spa retreat for my senses without needing a car freshener hanging from the rearview mirror.
