Sweet things like chocolate chip cookies and pecan pies are my go-to garage band. But a recent treat from O’Charley’s has my taste buds singing a different tune. A particular mini sponge cake is blowing my mind. And not for the usual saccharine reasons. The mild, sweet flavor of the sponge cake combined with the slight bite of espresso is quite the treat. But should we add a swirl of fluffy cream and dust it with powdered cocoa? Take every ounce of this Italian confection, chill it to just the right temperature, and I will give you the best Tiramisu I have ever tasted!
I’ve had Olive Garden’s Tiramisu, so you know I mean business.
O’Charley’s doesn’t follow the traditional interpretation of Tiramisu; however, their version certainly suits my palette. It’s a testament to their commitment to quality and innovation. Truly magnifica!
