Ah yes, the blog question of the day: “Was today typical?”
Well, considering I woke up at noon and only just acknowledged the existence of other humans without growling—or worse, making eye contact—I’d say we’re off to a… unique start. As of this moment, I haven’t had coffee, haven’t fully committed to the pants I’m wearing, and haven’t even begun the emotional labor of pretending to be functional.
So, was today typical?
Hard to say when it hasn’t even yawned yet, let alone asked to speak to the manager of my mood. Check back with me around 12:30 a.m., when the day is three-fourths over and I’m in my natural habitat: emotionally reflective, slightly over-caffeinated, and probably questioning my life choices while standing in front of the fridge.
Consider this the prequel. The “Before” photo. The chaotic calm before whatever storm this day decides to bring.
Stay tuned for Part Two: The Day Strikes Back.
