I’ve never been the type to feign interest in CEO or managerial positions, but one position I’ve always wondered about is teaching. I love kids, and though my student era has almost ended, and while it was interesting, it was also a painful experience. The challenges, the pressure to perform, and the constant need to prove oneself academically have always intrigued me. Now, I want to know more about the other side of the educator’s coin.
As the daughter of a teacher, I’ve seen the transformative power of education. I’ve known educators who, despite facing potentially dangerous situations, stay and help a student become successful after the child sent an airborne desk, nearly causing bodily harm to the teacher and themselves.
The truth is that teaching is a challenging profession. However, I have witnessed the pride that arises in a child when they achieve success, especially when I have contributed to their learning. I genuinely admire educators who bring joy to their roles and can carry out their responsibilities with a genuine smile. Their positivity brightens the classroom and inspires students to embrace learning with enthusiasm.
