I could live a long, healthy life and never visit the Marianna Trench. At a little over 11,000 meters (36,200 feet) into the Pacific Ocean, it is the deepest point in the world—and quite frankly, one of the scariest. Sometimes, knowing what is out there can be scarier than what we imagine.
