Where would you go on a shopping spree?

Not many stores fit the bill when it comes to places I want to shop for fun. Those attuned to my shopping vices, Lunch Box, Amazon, and Bath & Body Works are among the list could fit on one hand. For those unaware of my many quirky qualities, Build-A- Bear is my number one spree should there be no fee.

Before you conjure flights of fancy and steer that disbelief in my direction, let me explain. Since I was a child, I have always adored cute things. Naturally, when my uncle offered both his nieces a chance to build a stuffed ball of fluff, on him, I was ready to jump into one of the bear bins. Fast forward to 2024, I started a sort of tradition where the children of my mother’s classroom receive something special for doing their best during the school year. One year, I video chatted from Japan and answered questions. Another year, I brought Valentine’s mailboxes for each student to choose and use for delivering cards on Valentine’s Day.

I believe every child deserves an experience that fills them with confidence, joy, and hope. If I had the option of shopping worry free, I would build a bear for each child of this year’s class, choose a personalized outfit, and deliver them at the year’s end.
