As a perfectionist, I tend to dwell on past events. Minor or significant, if the outcome is not to my liking, I will spend minutes, sometimes hours, mulling over ways to improve the current situation. Mathematics is a prime example of this. In school, I was the student who corrected her papers and resubmitted them for partial credit. I didn’t need the credit at an A or B+, but knowing that I should’ve done something different bothered me.
